So, while watching my point defense turrets fire longingly after missiles that had missed my ship, I was brainstorming different ways to fix this relatively broken system. One easy way to do this would be adding a (potentially) simple new option for BOBBY AI modules: fire at closest.

This wouldn't be a perfect solution, as turrets would still track missiles that missed their target, but it would prevent PD turrets from engaging harmless missiles at distances of several thousand meters....

as my header suggest, i would replace the single lines that are drawn every frame with temporary blocks with an invisible texture. that would get rid of the lags you get with an big sized build helper imho, and would give the possibility of filling those boxes in mid air

Now that pickup rails have been added it opens up a world of possibilities with what we can do with rails. fixing alot of the logistical headaches of rails colliding with its docked entity.

However we now have another problem. These rails still make use of the adjacent logic signal outputs that regular rails use. While that works for normal rails this can make creating logic driven launching/pick up systems either a nightmare to design or at the very least make them semi-automatic.

I believe that we should removed Salvage beams and add a salvage effect to the game. So that if you wanted a salvage beam you could link salvage modules to your beam cannon combo to make a constant beam salvager. So a while back I was talking about PvP issues on some thread with a bunch of guys, and came up with the idea of having a system like the from the depths system. As you destroied blocks you would get a percentage of the base reasources of the blocks. (With a 5% payback, 20 mesh thruster gives 1 mesh for destroying it; 500 rammret capsule, 1000 crystal computer gives 25 rammret, 50 crystal for destroying it).

I have suggested this before and people werent too positive, But i think that current the power systems in starmade are too indestructible, They have no central point to them and are hard to disable. So to fix it then i suggest the devs add a power core block which would function as a controller. Meaning that power systems wouldnt be too far gone after such an update such place the block and connect it to your power blocks.
